Lead by Mexican Drummer and Composer Rodrigo Vargas, Montara is a fusion jazz collective that challenges the idea of musical boundaries, embracing constant movement and evolution. Rooted in jazz, driven by groove and shaped by its members diverse cultural backgrounds, Montara crafts music that bridges cultures and genres, engaging both jazz aficionados and dancers alike.
Formed in jazz, Montara was born from a shared passion for improvisation and exploration. The band blends diverse jazz elements with the infectious features of R&B, funk, rock, disco, latin and Afro-Cuban fusion, creating a sound that is both sophisticated and raw.
